When a storm hits, we send Angel Boxes: a ready-to-ship box of what a family needs in the worst week of their year. Not just supplies — a handwritten note, a small stuffed animal for a child, coffee, and a reminder that someone, somewhere, packed this with them in mind.

Your gift is made to Holmestead Angels, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to advance its charitable mission. Our goal is to build and launch The Holmestead Hideaway, because we believe it's the most sustainable way to fund long-term impact. Like any nonprofit capital campaign, gifts may be used for planning, due diligence, professional services, fundraising, and the work of moving the project toward completion. If, despite our best efforts, The Holmestead cannot be completed, the remaining charitable assets will continue to be used exclusively to advance the organization's charitable mission, in accordance with board governance and applicable nonprofit law.
What happens to my gift if The Holmestead never opens?
Yes — gifts to Holmestead Angels are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. You'll receive a receipt for every gift for your records.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Holmestead Angels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Contributions are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law, and our EIN and tax-exempt documentation are available on request.

Every gift helps build the place that makes perpetual giving possible — and at the same time, a portion of gifts received before opening supports immediate community impact on Bequia and disaster relief, as approved by our board. Once the doors open, our permanent model begins: net proceeds designated for charitable impact are split between the Bequia community and disaster relief.
Do you give to charity now, before you open?
However feels right to you. You can become an Angel with a one-time gift from $10 up, start a monthly Bar Tab, fund an Angel Box for disaster relief, or join the Holmestead Hundred as one of our founding supporters. You can also give by check, in honor or memory of someone, or through a larger gift like stock or a donor-advised fund — just reach out and we'll help.

What do I get for my donation?
The Holmestead Hideaway is being built on Bequia, in St. Vincent and the Grenadines — a small, beloved island in the Caribbean with one of the most welcoming sailing communities anywhere. We're targeting an opening in 2027, and we're doing the work thoughtfully rather than rushing it.
Where is The Holmestead, and when will it open?
Not exactly. The Holmestead is an intimate bar and retreat with a small number of oceanview bungalows — designed for genuine rest and connection, not a resort.
Will I be able to stay there? Is it a hotel?
Absolutely — and we'd love it. Bars, restaurants, and shops can become Angel Stops by hosting a night or a giving cocktail. You can guest bartend with us, host a fundraiser, introduce us to someone who'd care, or simply follow along and share the story. Reach out at angel@holmesteadangels.org and let's find your way in.
Can my business host an event, or can I help in other ways?
